Lumber
All wood is hand selected based upon depth of color, grain, straightness and moisture content.
Hardware and Glides
All hardware and glides must be made of quality components. Knobs are typically made from crystal, porcelain, or heavy metals. Handles, pulls and hinges are made with metals, not plastic or other synthetic materials. Glides are either handcrafted out of wood or fabricated using high quality metals such as steel or other steel-based alloys.
Finishes
All finishes are created for the authentic look of each piece. We use period finishes such as hand rubbed, oil and wax finishes as well as recently developed finishes such as polyurethane.
